Design Your Offline Storage Architecture

The Firevault Storage Configurator helps organisations design a physically disconnected storage tier tailored to their data classification, compliance obligations, and operational requirements. In under five minutes, you will define the architecture for hardware-encrypted, Layer 1 physical air gap storage that remains offline by default and unreachable by network-based threats.

Breach-Proof by Design

Data stored on dedicated hardware that is physically disconnected from the internet. You cannot breach what is not connected.

Hardware Encryption

Every storage device uses AES-256 hardware encryption with identity-locked access controls. No software-only key management.

Compliance Ready

Generates audit-ready documentation including capacity models, deployment zone maps, and data classification matrices aligned to ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIS2.

Scalable from 8TB

Start with a single 8TB storage unit and scale in 8TB increments as your data volumes grow. No over-provisioning or wasted capacity.

Dedicated Hardware

Your data sits on your own physical devices inside Firevault Bunkers. No shared infrastructure, no multi-tenant risks, no co-mingled data.

Board-Level Output

The configurator produces seven audit-ready artefacts designed for board presentations, regulatory submissions, and procurement sign-off.

How It Works

The configurator is a guided conversation that captures your organisation's storage requirements across four phases: data classification, volume and growth projections, compliance framework alignment, and operational access patterns. Each decision maps directly to a physical architecture recommendation based on the Firevault VPPP (Volume, Protection, Performance, Policy) framework.

Once complete, you receive a tailored storage architecture specification including capacity modelling, redundancy configuration, geographic deployment zones, interaction path definitions, and a cost projection. This documentation is designed to support internal approval processes, regulatory audits, and procurement workflows without additional preparation.

Who Should Use This

The Storage Configurator is built for IT directors, chief information security officers, compliance leads, and data protection officers who need to evaluate or specify offline storage infrastructure. It is equally suited for organisations assessing their first offline storage deployment and those scaling an existing Firevault environment to accommodate new data classes or regulatory requirements.

If you are responsible for protecting crown-jewel data, intellectual property, legal records, financial archives, medical datasets, or cryptographic keys, this tool will produce the specification you need to move from evaluation to deployment.
