What Vault is not

An always-connected software account. There is no standing network route to your Vault, and out-of-band control means the instruction to open it never travels with your data.

Vault Buddy

Nominate the person who can reach your Vault if you die or lose capacity. They hold no credential or key until the event is evidenced and their identity is verified, and then only for a defined window and the scope you set.

Vault Spare

Every dedicated Vault is protected by Vault Spare. If a fault stops your Vault working correctly, it is designed to keep your access going automatically, without waiting for an engineer. Failed drives are returned to you.

Before you order.

Yes. Every Vault has 24/7 on-demand access. You authenticate, the physical route is enabled for your session of up to 120 minutes, and it is removed when you finish.

Start with what you cannot afford to lose. As a guide, 2TB holds 500,000+ photos or 4M+ documents, 4TB twice that, and 8TB four times that. 8TB adds a dedicated account manager. If you need more than 8TB, Storage starts at 20TB.

Through File Share in your browser during a session: folders, search, uploads and downloads, with no software to install. Every session is logged.

Each Vault uses dedicated physical drives, mirrored with RAID 1. If a fault stops it working correctly, Vault Spare is designed to keep your access going automatically, without waiting for an engineer. Engineers can replace the failed hardware on request, and failed drives are returned to you.

Their Vault Buddy, nominated in advance, holds no credential or key until then. Access opens for a defined window, within the scope the holder set, only after the event is evidenced, for example by a death certificate or grant of probate, and the Buddy’s identity is verified.
